OSULA Volunteer Day at Project Angel Food Dec 15, 2024

Join OSULA in a day of service with Project Angel Food! We are excited to serve the local Los Angeles County community by helping provide healthy meals to feed people impacted by serious illness.

OSULA will be providing two shift opportunities to take advantage of at the Project Angel Food kitchen at Amped Kitchen in Lincoln Heights:

• 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. (morning shift)
• 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. (afternoon shift)

Each shift allows for 15 volunteers maximum, so be sure to sign up early to claim your preferred slot. All volunteers must show proof of vaccination, including booster shot, by providing a photo of your card (paper or electronic).

Registration deadline is Wednesday, December 11.

Additional Details

• There is a Project Angel Food Sign on the street in front of our door. Knock and we will greet you and take you to a brief orientation. After orientation, everyone will be assigned to our head chef du jour and the real fun will begin.
• Parking is a bit of a challenge. Please watch signs closely.
• Please wear closed-toe, rubber-soled, flat shoes when working in the kitchen. No sandals. Wear comfortable clothes (No cut-offs/mid-riffs, cap sleeves or tank tops, please)--shorts are okay when working in the kitchen.
• New Health Department Regulations prohibit all jewelry on hands, fingers and arms. Please leave all valuable jewelry at home. No earrings are permitted.
• Minimum age for volunteers is 14 years old. Anyone 14 or 15 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
