The Ortega Community Table is dedicated to providing a warm, nutritious meal and a welcoming environment for the underserved, and anyone in need within West Jacksonville.
We believe in fostering community, dignity and hope - one plate at a time. No registration or documentation is required. Everyone is welcome at our table. Join us once a month for nourishment and friendship in the heart of West Jacksonville.
WHEN:
Held the last Friday of every month from
4pm-6pm
WHAT TO EXPECT:
- A hot, freshly prepared meal and a to-go-bag of groceries
- Safe and comfortable seating
- Warm, friendly fellowship
- Respect and care for all guests
LOCATION:
Ortega Church Fellowship Hall
(Corner of Roosevelt Blvd and Hiawatha Street)
4807 Roosevelt Blvd.
VOLUNTEERS:
Can sign up to assist with the following:
11am-12pm - Sandwich Making: 100 Sandwich bags (sandwich, chips and cookies) to deliver to the City Rescue Mission to distribute.
And/Or:
4pm-6pm - Serve a Hot Meal and Give Groceries 'To Go' (grocery bags with non-perishable staples that each of our guests can take home with them).
