The acclaimed Orpheus Chamber Orchestra returns to our series with Old World sophistication, performing "Home, Suite Home." Pianist Isata Kanneh-Mason dives into Mozart’s crowning Viennese concerto, framed by Handel’s sparkling Water Music Suite, dispatched from London, and a Haydn symphony, custom-tailored for Paris. Welsh composer and New York transplant Katie Jenkins brings a taste of home to her new work, co-commissioned by Orpheus Chamber Orchestra and Friends of Chamber Music Denver's Commissioning Initiative.
“Playing with perfect unanimity, [Orpheus] performances have polish and spirit, and display an infectious love for making music.” – The New York Times
“Isata Kanneh-Mason’s readings are as imaginative as they are original – International Piano
