Make OMAM one of your stops during the First Saturday Ormond Art Walk to see ten distinctive works by mixed-media artist Christian R. Duran on display in the reception gallery. Duran will give a walk-through and discussion at 5:00pm providing insight about his inspiration and creative process. Drawing from sources such as botanicals, microscopic imagery, and topographical forms, Duran uses paint, collage, and unconventional materials to build richly textured surfaces — layered, worn, and woven — to evoke the passage of time and transformation. Described by the artist as “intimate, theatrical stages,” these works invite both conscious and subconscious reflection, encouraging viewers to explore the delicate balance between creation and decay.
Admission to Art Walk is always FREE, and you can ride the complimentary shuttle to visit all stops. Beer and wine will be available for purchase inside the museum.
