Orlando's Underground TEENS Poetry Slam

Happy Halloween! This month's TEENS Poetry Slam theme is, Masks. This will be a tribute/ "cover poems" Slam. Please come prepared to perform your favorite poems by any author, rapper, singer, free stylist, flash fiction writer, or spoken word poet. It's all fair game in this slam event- only rule this time is that you must NOT perform original work or you will be disqualified. And remember the 3min time limit per performance.

Up to 12 may compete- Teens only, please on the mic. All ages are welcome in audience or as judges.

~Grumpy's Underground Lounge is a live music dive and eatery in the Mills 50 district of downtown Orlando. Audience is asked to please arrive on time for show start- this is an open mic style format, which means the show ends earlier than 10 if we get a short list of performers. The host does not curate a lineup for this show in advance so please note that attendance does vary month to month. We've had some folks arrive late from out of town in the past and while we love the support, we do want you to understand the nature of the event and that we aim mainly to target local and young adult audiences.
