About This Workshop:
Where the mind goes, the body follows.
This healing workshop is designed to introduce participants to the powerful connection between the mind, body, and breath—and how this relationship influences physical, mental, and emotional health.
If you’re experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, or challenging thought patterns, this workshop offers gentle, supportive tools to help you reconnect, regulate, and restore balance.
This workshop includes:
- Gentle yoga and mindful movement
- Breathwork practices for different outcomes
- Guided meditation
- Practical tools to build resilience and nervous system awareness
What you’ll learn:
- Why the mind–body connection is essential for overall health
- How the mind, body, and breath work together to support wellbeing
- How unobserved thought patterns impact the nervous system, physical body, and emotional health
- Understanding the Enteric Nervous System (the “belly brain”) and how the gut communicates with the brain
Physical & experiential practice will cover:
- Mindfulness: observing the mind and body
- Breathing techniques for calming, energizing, and regulating
- Gentle movement to reconnect with the body
- Movement practices to shift stuck thoughts, moods, and mental loops
- Simple meditation techniques, how to practice them, and their benefits
All levels are welcome.
No prior experience with yoga or meditation is required—just an openness to explore and learn.
About your instructor Jen:
Jen is a 500-hour certified yoga teacher and a trained mindfulness instructor through the Eckhart Tolle School of Awakening. With advanced training in equine-assisted learning and coaching, Jen brings a unique blend of movement, mindfulness, and experiential learning to every session.
For much of her career, Jen worked in Ottawa Housing Communities and in shelter environments supporting individuals experiencing homelessness. In this work, she applied yoga, mindfulness, and coaching techniques daily—creating a deep understanding of how these practices support resilience, emotional regulation, and overall wellbeing.
