If you've ever thought that you couldn't read a map, join us for a fun day of orienteering in the great outdoors and discover that you can!Join our one day beginner workshop led by our experienced coaches and gain the skills and confidence to navigate with a map.
This fun day teaches you the basics of orienteering including:
o Understanding an orienteering map
o Using a compass
o Techniques to navigate a course on a map
By the end of this day you will have the skills and confidence to take part in an orienteering event. There are 3 active and friendly clubs in and around Inverness - Inverness Orienteering Club, Moravian Orienteers and Badenoch and Strathspey Orienteering Club, so plenty to choose from no matter where you are!
No prior knowledge or experience required – just a sense of adventure. All physical activity at whatever level you choose.
