About this Event
ABOUT THE WORKSHOP:
Join our new tutor, Maddy Norval, for a foraging walk through Balblair Woods (near Bonar Bridge) where you will be introduced to seasonal plants and take time to immerse yourselves in the sights, smells and sounds of the woods.
This class is for all ages, but care must be taken on the paths.
Bring something to collect your finds in, and participants should feel free to bring any ID books they may have.
What attendees will learn:
- How to safely identify edible wild plants and mushrooms
- Sustainable foraging techniques
- Tips for harvesting and preparing wild edibles
Perfect for:
- Nature lovers
- Foodies seeking unique flavours
- Sustainable food enthusiasts
Please wear suitable clothing & footwear for the weather.
