Get ready to dive into the sweet world of honey and mead at the Cascade Girl Oregon Honey & Mead Festival 2026. This in-person event is packed with tasty sips, cool vendors, local musicians and a buzzing crowd who love all things bee-related. Guests will also enjoy tips on gardening for pollinators from the pros and tasting tips from experts along with local and nationally recognized authorities on pollinators and pollination. Whether you're a mead newbie or a honey aficionado, come taste, learn, and have a blast celebrating the golden goodness from Oregon’s finest hives. Don’t miss out on this sticky-sweet festival experience!
You'll hear about Cascade Girl's Veteran Project, "Bee Heroes America" from project lead, Paul Davitt and the White City Veterans Administration's Recreation Therapy Director, Chad Burger along with the project's next steps to help veterans continue their beekeeping practices - sponsored by Pacific Power.
Our Festival emcee is the popular, Jen Ambrose. Music includes the Danielle Kelly Soul Project and the bluegrass of Mountaintop Sound.
Special Speakers this year include Beekeepers, Risa Halpin and Harvey Young from Agate Bees, a tasting featuring honeys from around the world by Jennifer at Bee-licious Honey and a talk with Scientist, Dr. Andony Melathopoulos. He is is an Associate Professor at the Pollinator Health Extension in the Department of Horticulture at Oregon State University, which was the first such position in the US. He also sits on the Steering Committee of the Oregon Bee Project, which coordinates pollinator health work across state agencies and he leads the Oregon Bee Atlas and hosts a weekly podcast called PolliNation. Scientist and educator, Dr. Dewey Caron will be available to provide reliable scientific and up-to-date advice about honey bees.
This is a family friendly event with plenty of space for kids. Veterans with documentation of service and First Nations people with tribal ID admitted without fee. Kids admitted free with parent.
The event suppports the nonprofit Cascade Girl Organization and its local veteran, community and kids' projects that educate people about food system pollinators.
