Order in the Court: The 1920s Prohibition Trial

The year is 1924. Prohibition is in full swing, secrets are currency, and a crime has been committed right under our noses.

The Setting Forget crowded halls and stages. This exclusive event takes place in our stately Magistrate’s Room, the very heart of legal power in Spalding. With its historic atmosphere and original features, there is no better place to hold a trial.

Your Seat at the Table This is an intimate, VIP dining experience for fewer than 20 guests. Instead of separate tables, you will take your place around one grand table, sharing suspicions with your fellow jurors.

The Experience You won’t just be watching the action; you will be part of it. As the evidence is presented and the "trial" unfolds around the dinner table, you must work with your fellow guests to interrogate the suspects, examine the clues, and deliver your verdict. It's not an average M**der mystery, it's an immersive dining and entertainment experience.

Dress Code: 1920s Glamour is recommended but not a must. Think flappers, flat caps, pearls, and pinstripes.

Tickets: Extremely limited (only 20 seats available).

The Menu:

Starter

Orange and brandy duck liver pate on sourdough, with beer braised caramlised onion

or

Chargrilled carrot and parsnip soup with a hint of gun powder spice (vegan, gluten free)

Main

Chicken Cordon Bleu stuffed with sharp cheddar cheese and chive on brown butter velvet potato, grilled asparagus, with thick gravy and reduced chive olive oil drizzle (gluten free option available)

or

Beet Wellington in white wine and balsamic reduction sauce seasoned with shallots and rosemary (vegetarian or vegan)

Dessert

Triple chocolate fudge brownie topped with honeycomb vanilla ice cream (gluten free. Vegan option available)

or

Lemon Posset with fresh Sicilian lemon zest and mixed berries (Vegetarian, gluten free)

Timing

Door opens at 19:00, bar will be open for drinks

Performance and dinner 19:30 - 22:00

Venue closes at 23:00, you are more than welcome to stay for a drink and chat to the wonderful actors post dinner until 11pm.
