Orchard ecology and management with WTSWW

Activity details:

The Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales will be running an Orchard ecology workshop in partnership with the Cardiff Local Nature Partnership, which will be a hands on learning session in the Forest Farm Orchard.

This is a great opportunity to learn more about Orchards for people and nature.

In this session you will learn key principles in orchard management, as well as ecology and the benefits of the many species of fruit trees you can find out and about today.

The training session will include of practicing the techniques learnt under the supervision.

What to bring and facilities:

All tools will be provided.

Please bring any drinks and snacks with you.

Please wear sensible shoes (i.e. boots or wellies), wrap up warm, and bring waterproofs. Please bring your own gloves if possible.

There will be toilet facilities on the day.

Transport:

We encourage you to walk, cycle or take public transport to the site. Limited parking at forest farm is available.
