Born in Indiana but a proud Texan since 1992, Opie Hendrix has carved out a reputation as one of the Lone Star State’s most entertaining and distinctive roots-rock artists. A two-time Houston Press Award winner for Best Roots Rock, Opie has shared stages with artists including Hal Ketchum, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Hayes Carll, and James McMurtry, and has even played legendary venues like New York City’s CBGB’s.
With five albums behind him and a sixth on the way, Hendrix brings a sound—and a personality—that refuses to fit neatly into a box. His music mixes roots rock, humor, swagger and plenty of positivity, making for a live show that’s as entertaining as it is musical.
And joining Opie for this special Panorama show are Tracy & Jeromy from Choke!
