Opening the Door to Home Ownership (In Person)

This in person Home Buyer Education HUD & USDA approved course will take place at USU Extension's Wheeler Farm building. The class will begin at 9:30 AM and will end at 2:30 PM with a 30 minute lunch break at noon. Attendance for the full duration is required to receive a certificate. If class is cancelled due to few registrants, money will be refunded.

• Assessing your readiness financially and emotionally to purchase a home
• Determining how much house you can afford
• Assembling a team of professionals to assist you in the purchase process
• Making an offer to purchase
• Choosing a mortgage loan product
• Preparing to close on the home
• Navigating the closing process
• Home Maintenance
• Selling your home
• Resolutions for Mortgage Delinquency

This class may help you qualify for:

• Down payment and closing cost assistance
• Using gifted funds at closing
