Lorie Hamermesh (image above) is a Boston-based artist working in printmaking and mixed media. Since returning from her hiatus in 2021, she has been exploring themes of innocence, identity, loss, and resilience.

Elisa H. Hamilton (image below) is a socially engaged multimedia artist who creates artworks and community-centered projects that emphasize shared spaces and the hopeful examination of our everyday places, objects, and experiences.

Located within the Church of the Covenant in Boston’s historic Back Bay neighborhood, Gallery NAGA (formerly Newbury Associated Guild of Artists) was founded in 1977, when a group of artists placed their work on display in what used to be the chapel of the church. One month led to the next, and before long, an impromptu gallery was born.
