Growing up on Powhatan street in nearby Mclean, Jeffrey explored the lands along the potomac and noticed the algonquin named streets and places in his childhood. These vivid paintings tell powerful stories inspired by the potomac river region. Adapting the Japanese marbling technique of suminagashi, Jeffrey creates pieces that convey the intelligence perceptible in nature written into the land by the ceaselessly repeating patterns of growth, decay, seasons, tides and wind.
