Fundraiser - Bring Arlington Black History to the Arlington Art Collection

Join us for an opening reception as we raise funds to add Green Valley, Hall's Hill, and Johnson's Hill Collages to the art collection.
About this Event

Zane Killgo, fifth-generation Arlingtonian and multimedia fine artist created a series of digital collages depicting the three historically Black neighborhoods Green Valley, Hall's Hill, and Johnson's Hill. The Green Valley collage was awarded second place in the Claim to Fame Juried Exhibition.
Arlington art lovers have joined together to raise funds to add oversize prints of these collages to the Arlington Art Collection to ensure these historic communities are a part of the County's collection. Zane's fiscal sponsor is Fractured Atlas, ensuring that all donations are 100 percent TAX DEDUCTIBLE.

There will be a short program with a panel of residents from these neighborhoods to discuss the importance and impact of these neighborhoods and what having the images included in the Arlington Art Collection means to them.
