Opening Ceremonies for Emmaus 250 Celebration

The Emmaus Borough is excited to present a weekend long festival to celebrate the 250th Anniversary of our country!
On Friday July 24th an opening ceremony will be held on the grounds of the Emmaus Library to kick off the festivities.
At this event, the Brandywine Colonials Fife and Drum Corps to will kick off the ceremony with a performance, followed the Emmaus Veterans Committee performance of the Volley of 3, with a call to attention, a service of arms, 3 shots, and taps, honoring all of our veterans. They will also be raising the flag at the ceremony.
The ceremony will continue with a reading of the Declaration of Independence by our Boys Scouts and our Girls Scouts, followed by the Borough's unveiling our new historic gateway sign.
Alongside this ceremony two very special recognitions will be handed out, and we will publicly unveil the plans for the library entranceway as well as the arts sculpture garden on the grounds of the library.
After the ceremony, all are invited up to the triangle to enjoy a concert by the Main Street Cruisers at 6PM and enjoy food and dessert from Cactus Blue Food Truck and Mon and Mel's Sweet Scoops.
