Please join us for our Open Studios featuring artists from Greece, Russia and Germany. You will get the opportunity to meet and talk to the artist, see their working environment and their works in process in an informal setting with drinks. We look forward to seeing you there.Leo Heinik’s artistic practice involves sculpture, drawing, collage and publication. From time to time it also extends to forms of teaching, curation and organisation. His artistic interest lies in the interactions between artworks, their forms of presentation and their recipients. Leo Heinik’s sculptures often feature interfaces that make them compatible with infrastructural contact points such as electrical outlets or light sockets. Other works aim to open up the boundaries of prevailing visual exhibition cultures towards tactile experience by incorporating actual or implied functionalities or appealing to the visitors‘ desire to touch the objects. After studying art education, Leo Heinik was artistic director of Fahrender Raum (2020 – 2021), a project space primarily aimed at children and young people. He has been teaching in the Fine Arts/Sculpture department at AdBK Munich since 2021.
Ksenia was born in 1986 in Petrozavodsk, Russia. Graduate of the contemporary art school "Free workshops" with the Moscow Museum of Modern Art. She currently lives and works in Nicosia, Cyprus.
In artistic practice, she prefers mediums such as object, installation, and photography, often combining them with knitting and weaving. She has participated in exhibitions in Russia, Germany, Italy, and Cyprus.
Daria Fetisova's artistic practice includes painting, drawing, sculpture and installation. The central focus of her art practice is a dialogue with the viewer through experiential feelings affected by the size of the works, colour and form. Using cultural-historical or
common human stories to set the stage in her works, Daria depicts strongly physically developed people or illustrates their stories in which strength is expressed more psychologically. The artist's entire practice aims to maximise the viewer's admiration of
human nature. After studying academic art, Daria Fetisova develops in contemporary art and teaches lithography at the MSIoFA named by V.Surikov. Since 2017 she has held several solo
exhibitions, participated in group exhibitions, biennales, symposiums and art fairs in Russia and abroad. In 2022 received the Gold Medal of the Russian Academy of Arts. Her works are
in private collections in Russia, Argentina, Georgia, Armenia and Cyprus. Lives and works in Cyprus and Russia.
