About the Artist in Residence
Jasmine Vanstone is a Jamaican-Canadian multidisciplinary artist and facilitator with a passion to inspire, impact, and amplify marginalized voices through community engagement, arts education, and public art. Her creative work shares visual reflections of cultural identity, wellness, food sovereignty, and the natural environment. Most recently, Jasmine was awarded the JAYU Arts For Human Rights Award and co-founded Verse & Visual Expressions to amplify equity-deserving artists in their interdisciplinary creative collaborations across poetry and visual art.
