Open Space meets Conversation Cafe

Liberating Structures, created by Henri Lipmanowicz and Keith McCandless, offer a fresh, practical way to collaborate. These 33 simple microstructures help any group unlock the insights and contributions of everyone involved.

During this meetup, you determine the topics. Together, we select a set of themes, then move into small groups to explore them more deeply, using Conversation Cafe as the structure, and Open Space as the mindset.

You’re invited to bring real questions or tensions you’re experiencing. It could be something related to Agile or Scrum, facilitation or coaching, the impact of Artificial Intelligence on your work, or anything else you’d like to explore more deeply. Multiple groups can discuss different topics simultaneously, or we can decide to discuss the same topic in parallel.

Conversation Café is a simple yet powerful structure designed to create meaningful dialogue. Instead of fast-paced discussion or debate, it invites you to slow down, listen carefully, and speak with intention. Using a few clear rounds, everyone gets equal time to share their thoughts without interruption. This helps surface different perspectives, build understanding, and explore topics more thoughtfully.

We'll create the agenda together, on the spot. And although we need to experiment and see how this works with Conversation Cafe, I'm okay with the 'butterfly' and 'bumblebee'. See the poster for more details about the rules of Open Space.

Since this is an in-person meetup, seats are limited. When you sign up, please commit to showing up — every spot counts. If you can’t make it, cancel your ticket so someone else can take your place.

We start at 13:30 sharp (doors open at 13:00) and wrap up at 16:00.
