To celebrate Toy Library Awareness Week (TLAW) we are hosting an Open Play Day to promote the theme ‘Get Your Play On.’ The event is open to all tamariki and whanau of our community.
At Open Play Day, there will be a wide variety of toys setup in the Performance Hall at the Community Centre. We will have play setup for babies, toddlers and older tamariki.
This event aims to showcase how play supports learning and development while ensuring that every child, regardless of age, gender, or budget, has access to quality play experiences and resources.
Our Toy Library wants to create an inclusive space where all children can experience the joy of play. This event is a fantastic opportunity for families to engage with our toy library, explore our collection, and see firsthand how borrowing toys can be a cost-effective and enriching alternative to buying.
