Welcome to Broomwood - the pre-prep and prep schools that are all about equipping and inspiring children aged 3-13 to Be Your Best. We are also proud winners of the prestigious Independent Schools of the Year Award for Student Wellbeing.

We'd love to tell you more about all that we do to help your child find and celebrate his or her best - whether that's academic excellence, sporting success, theatrical performance, musical magic or some of the many other ways that we build and develop the skills that will equip your child to succeed in the 21st Century.

Above all, we'd like to tell you how we do this by giving children a proper prep education - one that stimulates, excites, stretches yet also supports so that each child can be the best version of themselves and leave them brimming with confidence for the next step on their educational journey.

Our academic record is exceptional. We are very proud of all the wonderful achievements of our 2025 leavers (13+/11+) who secured 39 scholarships to top independent day and boarding schools, with a total of 331 offers (cohort of 100).

Whilst we are an academic school, our focus is always on the individual child and what is right for them.

Your child can start with us at 3 or 4 years old in our Pre-Prep, before the transition to either Broomwood Prep – Boys or Broomwood Prep – Girls. Our distinctive approach means that boys and girls progress at the right academic level for them, whilst enjoying co-curricular activities and other learning opportunities in a co-educational environment.

Whilst our prep schools are single-sex, there is a lot of collaboration, shared activities and facilities, thereby offering children the best of all worlds.

Our main entry points are 7 and 11 - although children may join at any age if places are available.

Parking Restrictions

There are some parking restrictions around Broomwood Girls between 10.30-11.30am. There are some alternative parking options in neighbouring streets.

Most of the roads around Broomwood Boys have pay-to-park options (zone C4).
