Join host Marten Borch at the latest — and undeniably greatest — Open Mic Edmonton has to offer! Each month kicks off with a performance by a new featured artist - Sir Kadian -, followed by the Open Mic itself.
Whether you're a seasoned performer or it's your first time, this space is for you. We encourage you to come up and share whatever is in your heart — music, poetry, a short story — the mic is open, and the stage is yours.
Admission is $5 per person, but if you sign up to perform, not only do you get in free — you'll also get a free drink!

Sir Kadian Bio:
Sir Kadian (Mika Haykowsky) is a multidisciplinary artist whose creative tendrils tickle gallery exhibitions, pottery, and songwriting, to name a few. She has been writing songs for 10 years and quietly gracing small stages around Edmonton, until last year when she decided to commit to sharing her music more consistently.
In 2025 Mika’s good friend dubbed her Entertainer of the Year by gifting her a handmade collage with that text in the forefront. He also invited her to perform at his wedding, so she wrote him and his husband the song “Double Rainbow,” which is about their love story. Then, his dad home recorded and produced the song, which is available on the new album, Edmonton Folks.
You can see Mika Haykowsky’s ceramic exhibition, “Garden of Earthly Delights” at the McMullan Gallery until March 8.
