About this Event
Join us on May 17th at 2:30 PM for an Open Day, hosted by the Citizens Commission on Human Rights (CCHR), to highlight human rights issues in the area of mental health.
• Insightful presentations from guest speakers
• Open Q&A discussion
• Complimentary refreshments
This is an important and often challenging topic. Some of our speakers and participants bring personal experiences of mental health system abuse—whether directly or through their families and close circles—adding powerful, real-world perspectives to the discussion.
All are welcome to attend, learn more, and be part of the conversation.
CCHR is a nonprofit mental health watchdog founded in 1969 by the Church of Scientology and Dr. Thomas Szasz, Professor of Psychiatry.
It has helped enact over 180 laws worldwide aimed at protecting individuals from abusive or coercive psychiatric practices and advocates for informed consent, transparency in diagnosis and treatment, and the right to refuse harmful interventions.
