Open blues jam at Bricks in Staunton

Beat the Monday blahs with some Sunday blues at the next Central Virginia Blues Society open blues jam.
Players, we’d love to hear your takes on classic blues numbers. Think Albert King, Sonny Terry, Charlie Musselwhite, Muddy Waters, Howlin’ Wolf, Willie Dixon and B.B. King.
Everybody is welcome. Bricks has fine pizza, a big supply of brews and plenty of pool tables.
The three-hour jam starts at 4 p.m. Aug. 9 at Bricks Restaurant and Pub at 111 N. Augusta St. in Staunton. Sign-up starts at 3:30 p.m.; see CVBS President Rick Swisher.
We will provide a keyboard with great Hammond and Rhodes sounds, plenty of guitar amps, a bass amp, drums and a PA. We try to keep the volume reasonable.
