One World Orchestra Training 2: Workshops and Planning

This second practical session builds on the foundational training day: Music & Trauma, held in March. This session will be focused on how to put the theory into practical workshop planning and delivery. Anyone who attended the foundational session in March is welcome to attend.

Topics we will cover include:

• Workshop considerations: culture, language, gender, context, inclusion
• Planning and delivering effective workshops and lessons
• Songwriting with adolescent participants
• Building inclusive ensembles and music groups

The training aims to relate the knowledge from the first session relating to the typical backgrounds and lived experiences of displaced children and young people and further build participants understanding and practical skills for using music to support wellbeing.
