The Dorset One World Festival is a free local event to celebrate the diversity of cultures in Dorchester through music, dance, food and activities - so get it in your calendar!This FREE event will feature a programme of traditional and modern music involving our local communities. We're lining up the programme for 2026 - last year we had delights of Ukraine, Syrian and Kurdish songs, dancing with funky reggae tunes, and loads more.
The Global Food Village will offer a wide selection of fresh food and drinks from around the world. We've previously had some incredible cuisines, from Tibetan dumplings and Middle Eastern falafel to mouth-watering Thai food. There's been Italian pizza, Afro-Caribbean jerk chicken, and South American burritos and more! All washed down with a drink from the bar.
We'll be back with a wide range of stalls and activities to get involved with! Last years activities included an intro to Flamenco, henna painting, fermentation workshops, and basket weaving. Children enjoyed themselves on the bouncy castle and got arty in crafts workshops.
One World Festival is being hosted by the South West Dorset Multicultural Network and Dorchester Town Council.
