In this lesson, students will explore the fundamentals of one-point perspective by crafting a landscape drawing that emphasizes the interplay of shape and space while adhering to the principle of proportion. They will begin by sketching their scene, focusing on how objects appear smaller as they recede into the distance, thus creating depth. Once satisfied with their pencil work, students can enhance their artwork with vibrant watercolors, allowing them to bring their landscape to life and experiment with color blending and shading techniques. This creative process reinforces their understanding of perspective and encourages artistic expression through various mediums.
