One Nighter with Troy Anthony & The Fire Ensemble

CONVENE

The Jar utilizes a Convener Model which invites you to actively build a diverse and vibrant community. As a Convener, you’ll purchase a Jar of tickets for $60 – that’s 6 tickets at $10 each. You’ll then invite:

• Your partner or other close friend
• 2 people you would normally experience culture with
• 2 people you wouldn’t normally experience culture with – people who may not look like you, pray like you, love like you, earn like you, etc. While these can be people you know – like an acquaintance, neighbor, or colleague – they are most importantly people you’d like to know better.

Together, the six of you gather to experience The Jar:

• 7:00PM Doors & Open Bar
• 7:30PM The Fire Ensemble with Troy Anthony
• 8:30PM Social Mixer & Dessert

TROY ANTHONY

Troy Anthony is a Kentucky-born composer, director, and theater-maker based in NYC practicing Black queer joy. He has presented his music at The Shed, Joe’s Pub, Musical Theater Factory (MTF), Rattlestick Playwrights Theater, JACK, Prospect Theater Company, the National Alliance of Musical Theater Conference, and 54 Below. He has received commissions from The Public Theater, The Shed, The 5th Avenue Theater, and The Civilians and has enjoyed residencies with The O’Neill Theater Center and Village Theater. He was in the inaugural cohort of MTF’s Maker Program.

THE FIRE ENSEMBLE

The Fire Ensemble is a community-centered production company that creates revolutionary new work rooted in music, ritual, and revelation by gathering through choirs that foster collective liberation.
