Join us for Come As You Are, a one-night-only experience where visual art and the written word meet in a powerful celebration of creativity, identity, and human connection.
Inspired by the Seen & Whole exhibition currently on view at the Congregational Church of La Jolla, local writers and poets have created original works of fiction, nonfiction, and poetry in response to the artwork. During this special evening, you'll hear these pieces performed live while surrounded by the very works that sparked them.
Each story offers a new perspective. Each artwork reveals another layer. Together, they create a conversation about identity, belonging, resilience, and what it means to be truly seen.
Whether you love visual art, literature, spoken word, or simply meaningful cultural experiences, this evening invites you to slow down, listen deeply, and experience the exhibition in an entirely new way.
