Joy Walker (Tisha Campbell) is a devoted single mother who has dedicated her entire life to caring for others—her church, her community, and especially her teenage son, Chaz (Jaden Lucas Miller), a promising basketball star.

When Chaz is suddenly diagnosed with an aggressive brain tumor, Joy's world is turned upside down. She must navigate overwhelming medical expenses, difficult medical decisions, and the emotional toll of watching her son's health deteriorate. Along the way, she is forced to reunite with her former partner, Royce (Charles Malik Whitfield), as they confront their family's devastating circumstances together.
