One for the Books: A Celebration of the Life and Art of Bill Dunlap

University Press of Mississippi will be hosting “One for the Books: A Celebration of the Life and Art of Bill Dunlap” on November 10, 2026, at the Mississippi Museum of Art. The brainchild of Press Director Emerita, Seetha Srinivasan, the event is the first of what will be an annual series celebrating prominent individuals in the arts, literature, and music in Mississippi.
The inaugural event celebrates Press author and renowned artist Bill Dunlap. Dunlap’s work and influence will be discussed by Betsy Bradley, Director of the Mississippi Museum of Art, and author, restauranteur, and philanthropist, Robert St. John. Bill Dunlap will join the event via a short film by Anthony Thaxton, who is currently working on a documentary about Dunlap.
The event is open to the public and will take place at the Museum from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm, beginning with a reception and open bar, followed by the conversation and presentation with Bradley, St. John, and Dunlap.
