One Day with Footnote

One Day with Footnote is a full day dance workshop tailored for youth and young dancers aged 13-18. This event promises participants an immersive experience into the world of contemporary dance, offering a unique opportunity to learn from seasoned professionals in a supportive environment.
Participants can expect to be swept up in the boundless creativity and infectious energy of the Footnote team. Through a series of dynamic workshops, attendees will explore current creative practices and performance techniques that are shaping the landscape of contemporary dance today. From innovative choreography to expressive movement, this workshop is designed to inspire and challenge young dancers of all levels.

9.30-11am Contemporary Technique
Develop and refine your contemporary dance technique by acquiring new skills and tools.
11.30-12.30pm Company Repertoire
Learn current company repertoire and experience the performative and physical range of Footnote shows
1.30-2.30pm Improvisation Practice
Fine tune your improvisation practice and gain confidence
2.45-3.45pm Choreographic Practice
Explore different creative tasks and create new movement through guided provocations.
4pm Open Studio Sharing + Q&A
Friends and family are welcome to pop in and see what we have been up to!
