Please join us for another fantastic ArtScience exhibition. This year our theme is TIME.
All life evolved around perception of rhythms in lunisolar cycles of light and dark governed by the sun, moon and stars. Some societies are organised by a construct called the order of time (past, present and future) where traces left by past experiences orient us towards predicting or preparing us for future events. Other cultures live in a stream of time where past, present and future are part of a continuous stream.
In this exhibition, our artists and scientists will have artworks that touch on:
Biological clocks of plants and animals
The effects of time on our sense of emotion, attention and memory
Measuring and decoding time recorded in air, earth and living tissue
Time signatures in cores, carbon dating, dendrology
Light and space-time
Shared communities of time telling
