People & Places 1873-2000: A Selection of Photographs from DOMA's Collection - Through August 13, 2025Guest curated by Ronn Brown, a renowned television and film industry photographer, born in Portland, Indiana, who pursued a photography career that led him to Hollywood.
Ronn Brown's selections for this special exhibition include works that display images from the history of photography that focus on capturing the subject’s personality through gesture, facial expression, and setting. Featured photographers include Margaret Bourke-White, Imogen Cunningham, Lotte Jacobi, Philippe Halsman, and John Coplans. This show includes five photographs from the Dali/Halsman portfolio that are truly exceptional.
Brown’s selections not only indicate the impact that these photographers had on his work, but also provide a new generation of student photographers, videographers, and artists—as well as the general public—with a catalyst for creativity.
