I udstillingen “Meridians” skaber Christian Skjødt Hasselstrøm en monumental og stedspecifik lydinstallation, der transformerer Nikolaj Kunsthals Nedre Galleri til et sanseligt rum, hvor det usynlige bliver fysisk nærværende, og hvor menneskets konstante forbindelse til universet sættes i perspektiv.
I Maria Wæhrens’ udstilling “The Answer” træder maleriet ud i rummet. Monumentale lærreder svæver som mure af stof, mens rå murstensvægge forvandles med klassisk ægtempera. Med afsæt i en drøm folder udstillingen sig ud som en sanselig totaloplevelse i Øvre Galleri.
Omvisningen indledes af Aukje Lepoutre Ravn, kunstnerisk leder i Nikolaj Kunsthal.

Join us for an exclusive walk & talk in Nikolaj Kunsthal’s two current solo exhibitions with artists Christian Skjødt Hasselstrøm and Maria Wæhrens. Both artists will introduce their respective exhibitions and share insights into the ideas, processes and artistic practices behind them.
With “Meridians”, Christian Skjødt Hasselstrøm transforms the Lower Gallery into a sensory space where the invisible becomes physically present, and where our constant connection to the universe is brought into focus.
In Maria Wæhrens’ exhibition “The Answer”, painting steps out into the space. Monumental canvases hover like walls of fabric, while raw brick walls are transformed with classical egg tempera. Taking its point of departure in a dream of an angel, the exhibition unfolds as a sensuous experience in the Upper Gallery.
The walk & talk will be introduced by Aukje Lepoutre Ravn, Artistic Director of Nikolaj Kunsthal.
Free admission for CHART VIP. For other visitors, access is included with paid admission.
