“NAÏV: Ukrainian Visions” exhibition

We are happy to welcome you to the first ever exhibition in Denmark showing Ukrainian naïve art and its history and development.
The stories in the exhibition will also present the intertwining of naïve art with Ukrainian history in the 20th century, as well as the strong ties and collaborations between Ukrainian avant-garde and folk artists. Some of the artists included in the exposition are Polina Raiko, Mariia Prymachenko, Hanna Sobachko-Shostak, Panas Yarmolenko and others.
During the opening, will be joined by curators of the exhibition Anna Gudimova and Natalia Gnatiuk. Hordii Starukh, a Ukrainian singer and sound producer who is reviving the sound of the hurdy-gurdy instrument and reinterpreting folk music through contemporary electronic music, will shape the musical part of the opening.
