Step inside one of Wayne County’s most iconic historic landmarks during our FREE Old Stone Jail Open House dates this spring and summer.
Knowledgeable volunteers will guide visitors through the original 9-by-12-foot cells and share well-researched stories drawn from local newspaper accounts. Hear true tales of jailbreaks, hangings, notorious inmates, and even the birth of a baby within these stone walls. Guests can also visit the Sheriff’s office and see an original riveted cell door that has stood for more than 160 years.
Admission is free (donations appreciated).

May 23 • June 20 • July 18 • August 22 • September 19
10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Location: Eastern end of Tenth Street, Honesdale, PA (in the Wayne County Courthouse parking lot).
