The holidays are taking on a distinctly Victorian glow in Old Louisville as the 49th annual Old Louisville Holiday Home Tour returns December 4-6, 2026, with a new theme, a more intimate tour footprint and several new ways to experience one of Louisville’s most treasured historic neighborhoods.
This year’s theme, “Vintage Old Louisville Elegance,” celebrates the timeless architecture, craftsmanship and holiday traditions that make Old Louisville unlike anywhere else in the city. From beautifully appointed Victorian residences to historic landmarks, the 2026 tour will offer guests a rare opportunity to step inside some of the neighborhood’s most distinctive spaces, all dressed in their holiday finery.
The tour will be concentrated along Millionaires Row, the mansions on 1100–1400 blocks of South 3rd Street, creating a walkable experience showcasing eight private homes, one historic church, Treyton Oaks Towers, The Filson Historical Society and the Hill Street Pavilion.
✨New This Year:
- Friday Night Lights, December 4 from 6-9 pm:
Friday Night Lights will offer an exclusive first look at a newly renovated South Third Street home by Louisville renovator David Brown, whose work has been featured on HGTV. Brown’s home will be one of two featured properties illuminated for the holidays and open from 6–9 p.m. Friday, December 4, for an intimate preview experience limited to 200 guests. Friday Night Lights tickets include admission to the weekend tour, giving guests the opportunity to experience the featured homes after dark and then return for the full tour.
- The Filson Historical Society will serve as the official starting point for the 2026 Holiday Home Tour.
- Day-of tickets will also be available for purchase on Saturday and Sunday at The Filson Historical Society.
- A limited number of private tours of the home of David Brown will be available for three scheduled time slots on Saturday and Sunday (with limited capacity for each tour). This special experience offers guests an intimate look inside one of Old Louisville’s distinctive private residences, with the opportunity to explore the home in greater detail and experience its architecture, character and holiday décor up close. Advance reservations are encouraged, as space is limited and this exclusive experience is expected to fill quickly.
- New parking options this year will make it easier for guests to access the tour. Parking will be available in The Filson Historical Society and Walnut Street Baptist Church parking lots, giving visitors several convenient places to park before beginning their tour.
- Adding to the festive atmosphere, Old Louisville based Time Slip Theatre will be performing Frozen from Dec. 4-20, with familiar movie characters roaming throughout the neighborhood and adding a bit of holiday magic and fun.
