The Showcase of Student-Written and -Directed Plays

Join us for The Showcase of Student-Written and -Directed Plays! This event features hilarious and thought-provoking short plays written, developed, directed, and performed by our high schoolers. These original scenes offer a glimpse into the brilliant creativity and burgeoning talents of our passionate students who have worked hard to bring their ideas to life.
This year’s selection balances light comedy against rich drama: Audiences will find themselves sailing the high seas with a crew of AI-addled pirates, surviving an endlessly awkward family dinner, whirling in the doomed romance of a Victorian madman — and much more. And as always, featured in the middle of it all will be an exciting set from our improv troupe: The Francis Parker Varsity Football Team!
Performances will be held on Friday, December 4 and Saturday, December 5 at 7:00 p.m. in the Performing Arts Space at the High School (233 W. Broadway, Louisville, KY 40202).
All Francis Parker students and faculty/staff receive a complimentary show ticket. General Admission tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for non-Francis Parker students. Tickets can be purchased at the door. Cash, credit cards, and checks are accepted.
Note: Due to mature language and subject matter, The Showcase of Plays is recommended for audiences in 8th grade and up.
