At the start of 2026, 20 College of Business students in Clinical Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship Dushan Nikolovski’s, M.S., capstone marketing and entrepreneurship class set out to create a brand that fully captured the essence, spirit, and story of Valpo – starting with the local businesses at the heart of our community.In collaboration with Valparaiso, Indiana, staple Journeyman Distillery, these students did just that. After months of market research on crucial details, Professor Nikolovski’s team of students is ready to bring Old Gold – the first Valparaiso University-branded whiskey – to the market.
Join our students for the official launch of Old Gold at Journeyman Distillery on Tuesday, April 28, from 6–8 p.m. Attendees of all ages are welcome, with exclusive discounts for Valpo students. Raffles included.
