About this Event

A collaboration between Oklahoma Media Center, Freedom of Information Oklahoma, and the Oklahoma Pro Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists, the Oklahoma Local News Summit will begin with FOI's annual First Amendment Congress, a series of discussions over pertinent free speech topics. The Congress will conclude at lunch with a keynote address from the Washington Post's Investigations Editor David Fallis and catered meal. The afternoon will feature different breakout sessions on journalism topics organized by OMC, and the evening will conclude with SPJ's annual award ceremony. The day will feature hot breakfast items, catered lunch and dinner, as well as a cash bar during the awards.
