Oil Painting Bootcamp for Beginners with Katie Hutter

Come learn the joys of painting with this classic, timeless medium: oil paints! We will learn how to play with the paint to create form, shapes, shadows, and lighting effects, and we will also do basic color mixing. Learning how to use the tools of the trade will also be covered: brushes, oil, mediums, thinner, canvas, paper, marking tools, palette knives, etc.

The students will need to either provide their own materials or order a beginner kit in advance that includes quality oil paint, canvases, brushes, and Gamsol ($75.00). Painting clothes is encouraged. $75.00 fee for materials.
