Classical Still Life in Oils – 6-Week Course with Dianne BaumanDiscover the timeless beauty of oil painting in this 6-week course designed for adult artists ages 16+ of all experience levels. Under the guidance of accomplished painter Dianne Bauman, you will learn the techniques and traditions of classical still life painting, from setting up a composition to building depth and luminosity through layers of oil paint.
Each week, Dianne will guide you step by step through the process—covering topics such as sketching your subject, understanding value and form, mixing a rich color palette, and applying paint to create dimension and atmosphere.
All materials will be provided for the first course, and Dianne will explain in detail what supplies you will need if you would like to continue future courses. This is a wonderful opportunity to immerse yourself in the discipline of oil painting while developing confidence, skill, and your own personal style in a supportive studio environment.
By the end of the class, you will have completed your own classical still life painting and gained a strong foundation in oil painting methods that you can continue to build upon.
Cancellation Policy for those that are unable to attend:
If you are unable to attend the class, your ticket for that class/event is nonrefundable. We are happy to have you transfer your ticket to a friend or family member to attend the class in your place. Unfortunately, due to payment of instructors, and limited seats, we are not able to offer refunds or a transfer into another class.
Cancellation Policy due to low enrollment of the class or instructor illness:
To run our classes CURIO needs a minimum of 4 sign-ups. If CURIO should have to cancel the class for any reason including limited enrollment registered participants are able to:
1) Move their ticket to another open class or rescheduled class
2) Receive a digital gift card
3) Get a refund. We strive to avoid cancellations but promise a fair process in unforeseen circumstances should CURIO be the one canceling!
