Dive into the bold, beautiful world of gouache painting in this exciting four-part class at the Santa Paula Art Museum’s Cole Creativity Center! Guided by artist Jem Morris, you’ll explore the art of seascapes while mastering techniques in composition, color, light, and texture. Through fun, hands-on exercises and lively group discussions, you’ll build confidence and creativity one brushstroke at a time. Whether you're new to gouache or looking to refine your skills, this class will inspire you to create your own gallery-worthy masterpiece.This four-part course will be taught on four consecutive Wednesdays: September 3, September 10, September 17, September 24, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
This course is for ages 16 and over. The cost of the four-part course is $130 per person. All skill levels are welcome and all materials are provided. Preregistration is required and space is limited. The course will be held inside the Cole Creativity Center located at 123 N 10th St, Santa Paula, CA. Free parking is available directly behind the building and students may enter through the front or back door.
