OFRENDA: A Healing Ritual to Honor the Ancestors with MADRE JAGUAR

When DEATH shows up, she speaks to us about LIFE… Having a relationship with those who came before, honoring and acknowledging our own lineages and ancestry allows us to show up with deeper presence, heart and courage to the human experience. The ancestors often remind us of the privilege and blessing of having this human vessel, the magic and medicine that is our birthright as their descendant and the legacy we leave behind as Future Ancestors. Join us as we gather in circle to honor and acknowledge our ancestors and lineages, as we share and commune with the medicine of Cacao. This will be a powerful container woven through ritual, song, poetry, storytelling and community.

Since ancient times, Cacao has been used by the Toltec, Aztec and Mayan cultures in sacred rituals to commune with Source, access Divine Wisdom and amplify the power of our intentions. This sacred plant acts as a catalyst to shift old patterns, expand the heart center and activate the higher chakras. As we commune with this sweet yet potent medicine, we will open to the wisdom of our hearts, commune with Source, and reach out in prayer and meditation to our bright Ancestors to access their wisdom, guidance and healing energy.

Please wear comfortable and loose clothing ( white/light colors preferred.) Bring an offering for our altar to honor your ancestors and weave your intentions: flowers, herbs, stones, photographs, personal items associated with them, etc. You are also encouraged to bring instruments, songs, poetry and even snacks that connect you to your ancestors to share with the group. And remember to bring your favorite mug and a friend… or two!

REFUND POLICIES

All sales are final. There are no refunds for PRS events , except in the event of a medical emergency, including but not limited to a positive COVID-19 test. Ticket exchanges may be granted on a case by case basis, pending circumstances.

In the event that PRS is forced to cancel an event entirely, tickets will be refunded or vouchers offered for a rescheduled event.

PARKING

We encourage attendees to consider carpooling, walking or biking to events if possible, and please be considerate of our Los Feliz neighbors when parking. There is plenty of street parking and limited parking is available onsite at PRS in the front lot (entry from Los Feliz Blvd. when heading east)

PRS EVENT POLICIES

• We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone.
• Events are subject to change without notice, including guest speakers and/or performers.
• We encourage you to arrive at least 30 min. before the scheduled event start time to find parking, enjoy the Bookstore and take your seats.
• Please turn off all mobile devices before the show. Talking and texting are not allowed during the events.
• No filming, audio recording or mobile phone recording of events, screenings, concerts or other programs by audience members is allowed without permission.
• There is no smoking permitted on PRS grounds.
• We strongly encourage guests to wear masks to PRS events to prevent the spread of infectious diseases.
• PRS allows Service Animals into the facility under ADA and state guidelines. For further details please visit www.ADA.gov. No animals permitted whose sole function is to provide comfort or emotional support, under ADA guidelines and CA Health Code.
• Please do not bring outside food or drink into PRS events.
• Weapons are strictly prohibited at PRS events.
