Oracy: Key considerations for developing practice

A session for both English subject leaders & headteachers/SLT

With the high focus on oracy and an upcoming oracy framework, this session will take a strategic look at how schools can develop this key area. We’ll explore:

• Developing the skill of talk (and listening) across the school
• Utilising talk across the curriculum to support learning
• Practical approaches to further develop back in school

We recommend that schools bring both the English subject lead and SLT to maximise the impact of this session and reflect together on priorities for next academic year.
