Our October Noon-Ten Concert series begins with organist, Karen S. Eddinger.
Karen S. Eddinger joined the staff of Trinity Lutheran Church, Reading, Pennsylvania, as Minister of Music in August 2011 and will be retiring from that position at the end of the year. She had previously served as Trinity’s Music Intern and Assistant Director of Music from 1981- 1989, during which time she began the church’s handbell program. Immediately prior to rejoining the staff at Trinity, Karen was the Minister/Director of Music at St. John’s (Hain’s) UCC, Wernersville, PA, where she served for twenty-two years. A magna cum laude graduate of Westminster Choir College, Princeton, NJ, Karen holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Church Music. For the past twelve years she has had the privilege of studying with Stephen Williams and is honored to be invited to participate in the Noon-Ten Concert series. Karen and her husband, Ron, live near Oley, PA. They have three grown sons, Geoffrey, Zachary, and Jesse. In her spare time, Karen enjoys disc golfing and knitting.
The program will include works by J.S. Bach, Hermann Schroeder, Hans Uwe, Mark C. Jones, and Jan Bender.
All are welcome! The concerts are free, with free-will offering opportunities.
