What’s Happening this month? Harvesting Fall Crops
Let’s Talk Plants: Melons, gourds, sweet potatoes
What is a Walk & Talk?
•Class led by Master Gardeners and other Farmington garden volunteers
•Class will be mostly in the garden and participating in the dirt.
•Recommend participants bring gloves. If you have your own trowel that will be helpful.
•What’s going on in the garden (yours and ours) during that month;
•What to plant at that time and how to plant it, and any planting that can be done in our garden;
•Let’s Talk Plants! featuring 4-6 veg that can be planted that month or otherwise featured: care instructions for each plant, insect and diseases that will harm each plant, when to harvest and any other pertinent information.
•Will use UK Extension Veg Gardening Guide as a primary source of information
•Free. Registration recommended
•Ages 10 to Adult. Minors to be accompanied by an adult.
•In case of inclement weather the class will move to the Carriage House or Brand Pavillion.
