October / Gareth Farry / CreativeMornings/Auckland

October’s global theme is ALTITUDE.
It was chosen by our Toowoomba chapter in Australia @cm_toowoomba, illustrated by Alex Hotchin @alex_hotchin, and is presented by @Adobe. Elevate your feed with this month’s hashtag: #CMaltitude
We don't just use height as a metaphor for creativity; altitude seems to switch it on. Your perspective changes looking out from a skyscraper or a window seat at thirty thousand feet. Chaos becomes a pattern. The altitude gives us clarity. Suddenly, you can see the big picture and your place in it.
We're stoked to welcome Gareth Farry as our October Speaker:
Gareth is a creative producer, lawyer and cultural technologist working at the intersection of governance, human rights, culture and emerging systems.
For more than 25 years, he has designed and led creative and cultural initiatives across music, arts production, plural law, programme development and technology. His work moves between artistic practice, institutional governance and cross-cultural collaboration, exploring how different worldviews meet, negotiate and create shared meaning.
Much of his current work asks a simple but increasingly urgent question: how might we design the systems shaping our lives so they can hold more than one way of seeing the world? Gareth is particularly interested in the spaces between disciplines, cultures and forms of knowledge, where new possibilities tend to emerge.
As always, expect fresh coffee, a light breakfast, meaningful conversations, and the opportunity to connect with Auckland's creative community.
Thanks to our sponsors and venue partner: Almighty, Coffee Supreme & Studio One 👏✨
Everyone is welcome.
